Eternal dawning

This human community
Here since the dawn of our kind
In Africa
A continuous community
Living here and now
On Mother Earth.

The clothes we wear
And the houses we live in
Have transformed
Yet this is the same
Eternal dawning
That greeted our eyes
On the plains of Africa.
